The Band has a pool of singers from within and outside the State who are used in rotation based on requirement of the language and type of songs preferred by each audience. There is also an Instrumental team which give concerts for Corporate functions, and events like Product Launches, Weddings.  The instruments include Keyboard, Guitars, Flute, Tabla, Mridingam and other percussion instruments. The Orchestra is led by Josy from Wyanad who handles the Keyboard. Afsal Yusuff, a Keyboard Programmer and Music Director also involves for major shows.   The occasional guest appearance of Violin Maestro Prof.Ramakrishnan, retired principal of Chembai College of Music, Ms.Vijayalakshmi, a renowned solo Gayatri Veena performer, Ms. Heeru Chandnani, an 8th grader in Vocal & Piano from the Royal School of Music, London and 14 year old Ms.Shalini who is doing her 7th Grade in Recorder, 5th  grade in Piano and who also sings and plays the Guitar make it even more special.

Unlike in the case of the other orchestras, the artists have to learn the songs and notations by heart which is the only challenge. Not being able to use gestures to prompt a start or a break or a correction is yet another disadvantage. They have overcome all these through sheer determination and hard work. Obviously, the answer is more rehearsals…!

With the support of the public and the media, SRVC hopes that the band grows further with more talents being added from all over the country and gets visibility in India and Overseas by securing continuous bookings. Thus hopefully, this model gets replicated and will lead to the more such Orchestras being formed giving opportunities to many, including three-piece and 4-piece bands that can play in Restaurants and Hotels.
